Literature Kits for Upper Elementary (Grades 3–6)

The literature kits offer an innovative experience that immerses students in Grades 3 to 6 in the learning of reading and writing through playful missions. They feature Quebecois comic books and picture books adapted for use on interactive whiteboards (IWBs).
Each kit includes a turnkey interactive reading session where students are invited to discuss, make predictions, and construct thoughtful responses.
Fun missions are provided to teach a specific reading strategy and a unique writing technique, each aligned with the Québec Education Program. These missions serve as a playful context to help students acquire essential knowledge and strategies that will support them in becoming better readers and writers. The goal is for students to reinvest what they’ve learned in future reading experiences.
For example, in Colette’s Bird, students learn how to infer characters' emotions and discover that silent panels can convey important narrative information—even without text. The activities can be carried out as a group on the IWB or in smaller groups using printable materials.
